Text of ELTIF 2.0 Regulation is published

On 22 February 2023, the Council of the EU published the text of the proposed Regulation amending the Regulation on European Long-Term Investment Funds (‘ELTIFs 2.0’). The European Parliament voted in favour of the proposed updates on 15 February 2023.

In the accompanying information note, the General Secretariat of the Council explains that the Council should be in a position to approve the Parliament's position, as it reflects the political agreement on the Regulation reached by the institutions in October 2022 – see our earlier blog post.

The Council is expected to adopt the revised Regulation on 7 March 2023 after which it will be published in the Official Journal of the EU and enter into application in Q1 2024.
