Consumer Duty scoping and implementation: use our insights to put your best foot forward

With Boards signing off Consumer Duty implementation plans in October, it's now time to kick off your implementation work.

Many firms will begin by considering in detail where and to what extent the new rules apply to their products and services.

Firms that undertake proactive scoping work at this early stage - and set up their implementation programmes according to best practice - will more confidently meet the FCA's deadline for implementation.

To help you get off to the best start, we offer a range of insights on our Consumer Duty webpage.  And we regularly update it with our latest publications, webinars, podcasts and alerts on developments as they occur.  One for your bookmarks.

Most recently, we're delighted to offer you on that webpage a recording of our 2 November 2022 webinar in which our experts consider the triggers for application of the Duty, explain the key scoping assessments you will need to make, cover best practice and how to scope efficiently, and explore how to set your organisation up for successful implementation, including lessons learned from historic regulatory change projects.

We've recorded three podcast episodes designed to accompany this webinar and explore scoping issues in depth via case studies for three specific firm types: wholesale, asset management and payments.

And remember: we're here to help and support you.  Get in touch with us any time to discuss your scoping and implementation efforts.
